General Concept
It is defined as a language born in the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of England, has an East Germanic origin. It is considered one of the most influential languages in the world today, thus being a lingua franca, since the majority of inhabitants (more than 508 million) speak it. Its etymology leads to a derivation of the term "Anglos", which is the first name of the Germanic tribe that carried a primitive English and that later would become the United Kingdom
